I am so greatly offended by the American Cheesesteak Co in Vancouver. The cheesesteak is not a unanimously American food. It’s a Philadelphian food. Americans 100mi away can’t even get it right, so why should you apply the name of our whole country to your establishment? Hardly any of these sandwiches even look like cheesesteaks. This “Cowboy” is so far from hitting the mark. I feel so violated when I read and see photos these gourmet monstrosities.

Lunch at the American Cheesesteak Co with only the best company! I’ve been waiting for this place to open for the longest time and last weekend they finally got the place up and running! I shared a small fries and had the ‘Cowboy’, which includes shaved prime rib, crispy fried onions, homemade spicy bbq sauce, bacon mayo and aged white cheddar. Yeah I totally just quoted the menu right there. The Cowboy was a good choice! So many flavours in my mouth! Note to self: get a milkshake next time!
