The Steak: That looks like a T-bone. Unless I’m mistaken, the cuts of beef used in cheesesteaks are thinly-cut ribeye or top round. This doesn’t look like that kind of cut at all.
The Cheese: The holes in that cheeses tell me it’s either cheddar or a really yellow swiss. Neither of those cheeses are acceptable. These are: American, provolone and Cheese Whiz. That’s all.
Also, it’s just a “cheesesteak.” Philly is implied, but you can leave it if you really insist. Just know that it’s never two words. It’s one. Try again.
